On a related note, I channel-surfed by some race yesterday on ESPN.
They were talking about brakes on race cars, and showed the view from
a camera mounted right behind the front wheel.  Even with a 6" duct
blowing air on the brakes, the rotors glowed bright enough to overpower
the sunlight outside the car. You could see the color changing every
time the driver hit the brake pedal.

Awesome.
