Since the good Bob Meyers, retiree at large, suggested it - I have no
problem collecting and forwarding the monies (plus my contribution) to
Steve. To me, it also lends a measure of respectability to this endeavor. I
will post all who contributed (unless you tell me) and Steve can verify the
amount sent to him. What I'll do is mail a check out Friday 4 October after
the mail is received - that way poor people living from paycheck to paycheck
(of which I proudly ascribe to) will have time to respond.

BTW, Steve - I could use yer address...
