manual labor) However you need a hyd press, which most "good" shops 
should have!

The special tool can be utilized in this manner also. The entire strut
must be removed, but since you got the axle out,and lower arm 
disconnected, the next 2 steps take 5 minutes, and its out of the car!  
It took me 40 minutes last week to do two front bearings, without much 
effort.(with all the proper tools!)

Plus the Bently manual has "pictures" on the procedure.(as if they were 
any help).

Get a press or get a work out!
