This does sound like a defective cannon ball, especially the vibrating sensation 
under your foot. Also, is yours still the original one? They do not hold the N2 
charge for more than 6-7 years, at least in my experience (diffusion of the gas 
through the membrains).Just to eliminate the possibility that it's the booster 
itself, unscrew the return hose from the booster (the thin one, that goes to the 
reservoir). With the engine OFF naturally! If the booster continiously drips the 
snake fluid out of that hole - then its internal check valve is no more (1-2 
droplets is OK though).
