About the only thing I'll buy out of this would be the fact that 4000q
clutches are larger than their 4cyl brothers....

Unless I'm looking at a vastly outdated book, the numbers I've got look more
like....

'81-'84 Coupe GT 215mm
'80-'81 4000s 5cyl 215mm
'84-'87 4000q 228mm
'85-'87 Coupe GT 228mm
'83-'85 TQC 240mm
'84-'87 4000s 4cyl 210mm
'80-'83 4000s 4cyl 200mm

Your comments about gearbox interchangeability, did I read it to mean that
4cyl 4000s manual boxes are the same as the Coupe GT's 5cyl boxes? Hmmm...

I take it by "same" in the case of the TQC/4000q you meant it in a
dimensional sense, as the ratios just t'aint the "same". No flame intended,
just wanted to make sure I wasn't behind on my reading ;^)
