Audi dealers going, gone?

A friend is just back at a three-day school for A8 mechanics.  Beyond
aluminum spaceframe esoterica (eg., Audi will flatbed your wrecked A8 to
their designated body shop for major repairs)and other stuff we've read
here or in the buff books, perhaps the most interesting info he brought
back was that AoA claims it will be getting very serious about winnowing
out dealers unwilling or unable to play the ball game their way.  These
are described as mostly low-volume dealers who sell Audis as an
afterthought and behave accordingly.  This may be so much rah-rah to
incite the troops to bigger and better oil changes, but my friend has
worked on Audis for many years, and a Porche now and then when the
spirit moves him, and says AoA seems dead serious this time.  We shall
see . . .
