RE: Eibach/Bilstein suspension for 90Coupe quattro?

Please let us know how it turns out!

I have come to a similar conclusion for my CQ. I am aiming at Koni Sport
and Eibach. What does Mr. Sprongl have to allow about Koni vs. Bilstein,
in terms of performance vs. comfort, and in terms of adjustable vs.
fixed?

The Eibach web page lists springs for the 80/90 Type 89 quattro, p/n
1510.140 that drops front 1" and rear 1", so I think your concern over
lowering 1.25" is a 1/4" too worrisome!

H&R has springs, but I have heard they are too low and too soft. Anyone
care to elaborate?

Peter Schulz has confirmed with Koni US that the Koni fitment for
externally adjustable Sport is 8610.1262 front and 86.2433 rear. I think
these may be hydraulic front and gas rear. The S2 front is listed as
86-2086, same rear.

Bilstein Sprint fitment is P30-3006 front, P36-3058 rear, Sport is
P30-3005 front, P36-3017 rear.

HTH.
