I don't have 16" wheels on my 92' 100 V6. I did upgraded from the stock 
15 x 6 wheels and 195/60 tires to 15 x 7.5 wheels and 205/60 tires. You 
do need a different offset for sure. I went from ET45 to ET37 offset. If 
you go to an 8 inches wide wheel you probably need a 35mm offset or ET35. 
I guess the guys in this group with the S4 can tell you about the 
fitments since at least the S4 in 92' came with 16 x 8 wheels 225/55 tire.
They can tell probably confirm the offset for you.
