Headlights on mid-80's 5000

Does anyone out there with the dual-lamp-per-side headlight setup
on a mid-80's 5000 have comments on the lighting?

My car's in the shop for a bunch of things, and he is looking at
replacing my crappy '89 100Q's trapezoidal headlight setup with the
dual lamps off an '84 5000. It looks like an almost bolt-on fit.

Are these lights decent? It would be a much better alternative to
$$$ for Euro-lights (even from Europe, where I'll be next month).
