Re: Tire question again, sorry!

This is what I've done so far:
1. On a '85 5000s initial setup was: 185/70/14 on a 6" wide alloy, 45mm offset
with Dunlop Qualifier (H-rated, total crap).
I went with: 215/60/14 on the same 6" wheel with Yoko 378 (way better feel,
although those 215s looked like doughnuts on the 6" wide wheels).
Offset was kept the same. No rubbing whatsoever.
2. On a '89 200 initial setup was : 205/60/15 on a 6" wide BBS, 45mm offset
with Bridgestone Turanza (H-rated, worse than crap).
I went with: 205/55/16 on 7.5" wide MOMO Ferrari, 38mm offset with Dunlop
SP Sport 8000 (Z-rated, remarkable tire, would highly recommend!)
Plenty of room in front. The rear wheels, however, were rubbing the inner fender
lips in the turns and under load. I had to roll them out. I had calculated it
beforehand and was anticipating it. That was, BTW, the only reason why I did not
go with the 17" rims.
In order to retain the same wheel circumference the 215/45/17 tires would've been
necessary. If I only had a '91 200 with the flared arcs:-(....
