RE: '90 Coupe Q little secrets revealed at last!!!
A little Internet etiquette tip: when you type in all capital letters,
everyone thinks you're shouting.
The S2 was not imported into the USA, which your AOL address would lead
me to believe is where you are. The non-turbo version in the USA is
called "Coupe quattro", has an inline 5 cylinder, 2.3 liter, twin cam,
20 valve engine that is quoted in the manual as having 164 hp. The
engine is a little lacking in low end torque, but once you get it over
about 3500 rpm, it sings!
Handling is on the aggressive side, better than most stock Audis, with
the possible exception of the original, called the ur-quattro, the
flared fender quattro turbo version of the 4000-based coupe.
There are some minor variations within the Coupe quattro, dependent
primarily on when it was built. If the non-turbo Coupe quattro is still
interesting, and you want more info, ask away.
