Just a little caution about using the part numbers stamped, molded or
otherwise marked on parts:
If what you have is an individual part _not an assembly of multiple parts_
then the part number should represent the single part. However, many of the
things we buy are comprised of several parts combined and sold as an
assembly. In that case, you may inadvertantly be reading one of the part
numbers for a piece of the assembly, but not the whole assembly.
No excuse for lousy attitudes and service, but there is sometimes more to the
issue than meets the eye.
