Re: oil cooling add on?



I may be showing my ignorance here, but could you add a water/oil heat
exchanger like some VW's have?  It fits above the oil filter and I would
imagine it would be a fairly straight foreward installation.  I had to
replace this cooler on my 84 Scirocco a few years ago, and found they were
readily avalible at most junkyards dirt cheap.  I am not sure if Audi's of
later years have them, but I saw the Porsche 924 turbos have what looks to
be an identical unit to my Sciroccos.
