30V problem

        
        Ah I read this from a magazine.
                
                This Audi engine (30V) has been temporariry suspended
because of problems with the 
        timing chain. Accoeding to insider,if the defect turns out to be a
quality problem caused by
        a supplier,production resumes this month (OCT) .But if the chain
break because of the added
        load  exerted by the *fifth* valve ,Audi may have to re-engineer the
unit.

                They said with this engine in the new Passat Syncro
(quattro) it can does 0-62 in 6.6..!!
