Re: Test drives at University?

sorry if i didn't make it clear. these were cars meant for the national
motoring press and were not cars allocated to the dealers for sale.
the dealer's employees themselves were not allowed to drive them.
they did not have "for sale" stickers on them; instead they said
"property of audi of america". i was welcome to test drive anything
else that was for sale; i even drove the a8 when it was there for
dealer demonstrations.

these were simply not your usual new cars sitting in the dealer lot
waiting for new owners. i mentioned in the NW list that audi actually
flew in a big crew of german mechanics over to prep the cars. it was
eerie watching people working on the cars conversing in german! at last
count there were over 4 A8s there... and at least 6 A4 1.8Ts.
