STOP THE (LONG and UNTRIMMED) POSTING INSANITY!

To All Quattro List Members/Regulars/Vistors/Aliens, etc.:

I realize most of you have heard this rant before, but it is so bad that
I feel I must again plea for help. In Quattro Digest V3#1174, the last
1/2 to 1/3 is constituted of only three messages, mostly b/c the poster
decided that he/she would not trim to what was pertinent, but would
merely hit "reply" instead.

Maybe most of you do not care, but this is worse than "no content"
messages and ads that are not even car related.  I originally
sub*scribed to regular mail, but after the content swamped me, I went to
the digest.

Now it has gotten to the point where a digest is at least HALF reposts
from people that do not trim their messages.  I do not care to see the
whole message you are replying to, nor do I care to see the original
poster's Sig File again either.

Look, if you simply are so technologically inept that you cannot do trim
then that is one thing.  Those of you that are too lazy to trim are
another matter.  There is one person on the list that I have now sent
THREE messages to regarding his/her ridiculously long REPOSTS, all to no
avail.  What will it take?  I do not know, but it has really become a
shame to a list that is usually very good in all other aspects.

I will offer again:  IF YOU WANT TO KNOW HOW TO TRIM YOUR POSTS PLEASE
E-MAIL NO MATTER WHAT O/S YOU USE AND WHAT E-MAIL PROGRAM YOU USE AS
WELL. I will be happy to explain it to you.
