Lost all my oil, fortunately in a parking lot. The valves and engine suddenly
got VERY LOUD. I stopped to check the oil level...... wondered where all the
oil had gone, bent down to look below.

It was just where it joins the cooler, a one inch hose clamp and a fifteen
minute walk to the gas station for dino juice ( Mobil-1 on the alphalt )
got me 35 miles to home.

$115 from Linda, ***** CORRECT PART, NO PROBLEMS **** Since the Linda thread
is around, I'll put in a good plug for her

Used "Kroil" for two days, tried very hard to hold the piece going into the
oil cooler, finally broke it off. STUCK with no car. Used the one good pipe
to loop back the oil back to the engine without going to the cooler.

Bought oil cooler WITH PIPES ATTACHED from "import junkyard" 20 miles away,
got the Audi back to where I could drive longer distances.

I still have a NEARLY UNUSED hose from engine to intercooler in my garage.

*** BAD DESIGN *** All the road salt goes right onto that hose connection.
It rusts away at the compression joint.
