This seems to be the concensus - on ice or hard-pack, studs are great, but
in the wet they're scary and in the total dry they howl and slip.
I think I'll go with no studs. The worst part of my drive to and from work
is a gravel raod that gets plowed in the winter. I don't think glare ice
will be much of a problem on gravel.
BTW, you've got VERY cool bikes. Friend of mine in Germany had an RD400.
Said it was too fast so he sold it. Soon thereafter he totaled his dad's
Bimota!
Guess it was going to happen sooner of later.
