all bets are off

Well, I really messed up this time.
I realized that to get the dist lined up, I
would have to find the timing marks, so I removed
the upper cover bolts. Only the top bolt came out with
the threaded bolt. I heard a clank but didn't know
what it was. I told myself to check, imagining a broken
TB sometime next month, but I ignored myself.
I got the dist lined up, heard the engine almost catch, then
a weird whirring sound. Sure enough, there, wedged between the
upper cover and the cam sprocket was the metal sleeve that sits
behind the upper cover bolt...

Wrestling with the TB right now trying to figure out
how to get the a/c belt loose, and how to get the big
27mm bolt on the center pulley off (nowhere to stop the
engine since the belt is busted)
I hate this car. Really. And it hates me.
