It's mine now...
Well the deal is done. I drove 3.5 hours to Minneapolis. Spent another hour
checking over every switch, every function. etc. Test drove it again. Then
took the plunge. I traded my 5kcstq (which was hard to do since I've only
had it a year and a half and was far from tired of it yet) and drove off
without my sunglasses but with a beautiful Idigo Blue metallic '91 200qw with
Titanium Grey leather interior and 65k miles.
The weather was nice and I had the windows down and feeling good. Stopped at
Wal-Mart for a minute and..... the right front window wouldn't roll up! I
had just run it all the way down and back up less than 2 hours earlier. So I
drove home alfresco! I tried the switch every so often, pressing it at
different angles and wiggling it around, etc. Check this out. Less than a
mile from home, I tried it again AND IT WORKED. Had a good laugh over that
one. Good thing too, since the street in front of my garage is still torn
up.
Also, the driver's side seat heater doesn't work. And the down switch for
the tilt of the front of the driver's seat doesn't work either. Good thing
the main down still works. But it's definitely worth it. The engine runs
great and the ride home was so nice compared to my 5kcstq. I am one happy
camper. This is the car I really wanted when I bought the 5k. So even
though I paid a bit more than book for a car that needs few minor (if
aggravating) repairs I have no regrets.
This one's a keeper...
