RE: 91 200Q boost problems. Help!

There were only two of these (WG frequency valves) in the country, and that
was in a dealers stock, about 3 weeks ago. And I got one of them. Mine ohmed
out good but was sticking partially open, limiting boost to about 1.3. Dealer
price (not Linda) was ~$80. If the mechanic does not have acces to the Audi
parts network, he will have to order one from Germany. There have been at
least 3 of these bad in the last month or so. Mine, plus Ned knows of 2
others. Maybe they have only a 5 year life.

I spoke with Dave's mechanic late last week, he is familiar with the
diagnostics of turbo cars... He put 15-20 psi in the intake hose and got no
leaks.... The possibilities are: Bad WG freq valve, or bad Hoppen computer,
or bad wiring to said valve..... Prolly the valve..... Hope Dave posts us
tomorrow....
