Audi's senior management is very concerned about the lack of spectator safety
measures, especially in Portugal but also in other countries. They are
convinced that a major tragedy is inevitable, and "do not want a car with four
rings on the grill killing forty or fifty people."
If safety is addressed by the rally organisers, they would reconsider. This
would be a long-term issue, as they don't really have a rallyable car.
