Griot's Clay Alert

To all you car waxers -

About two weeks ago I posted a query asking if anybody had tried this stuff.
 I received several replies but no one had used it personally.

I have a '89 200QW that I've owned for four years.  Its paint could use a
good wax.  Even after washing you can run your hand over the surface and it
feels slightly gritty.  Griot's catalog claims that this stuff - the clay -
will take away the grit etc.  I decided to buy some and try it.  Guess what
THIS STUFF WORKS.   It took ALL the grit away - the paint felt smooth and
ready for a good coat of wax.  By the way I used the clay with Griot's
recommended Fast Shine spray.  Also BTW I applied in small spots several
different waxes and I found them all about the same but I did get a slightly
darker shine with Zymol.  My car is lago blue.

For what its worth I have no financial contact with Griot's - its just so
rare to find something that works so well.
