Re: Adding driving lights to an 86 4kq?
I added driving lights to my 86 Coupe GT a few years ago and checked into
the options. The clear lens would not work without modifying the
framework behind the bumpers and did not seem like an option. I remember
that there was a kit by Audi that had a kit that mounted in the grille
below the bumpers but was pretty expensive. What I ended up doing was
buying the fog light switch that mounted in the same area as the
defroster and hazard switches and bought a Hella fog light kit which I
mounted under the bumper. If you decide on this option, I would stay
away from the round driving lights and instead go with rectangular lights
(the round lights don't give very much clearance getting into driveways)
