Post Reply Length, How to Deal with Thread Inclusion?

Sorry for my "reply to all" replies that include the reposting of the
entire King James Bible. Thanks for the heads up, I probably don't

Exchange doesn't enumerate addresses, only the messages when I get them,
so when I "reply to all" it doesn't appear *quite* so long. My fault for

OTOH, we get over 100 posts a day, I delete most of them, some of which
will include the start of a thread. Without the thread in the reply, a

I sympathize with your pain downloading a digest with most un-necessary,
but I find it an equal pain reading a reply like "Mine, too" with an
enticing subject line like "20v Coupe quattro turbo upgrade", or some
such, with no idea what the poster is talking about. I got off the
digest because I found it less useful to me than individual posts with
threads. Exchange (and others) can display messages in a threaded
manner, digests won't work in this mode. There must be some happy
medium, like I am more careful with the "reply to all" button, and those
who trim too much think about how cryptic the message they're about to
>post is.

I read all the messages posted to the list, individually, not as
digests, and about half I download from home, so I sympathize with you
on download time, but OTOH, my attitude is somewhat "tough" 'cause I
like to know what has been said in a thread in which I may have deleted

I'll work at trimming, I hope others pay attention to readability of
