1988. The MB engine succeeded the WR engine in Europe in 1988 and was itself
superseded by the RR (20V) engine in 1990. There aren't that many MB engines
about.
(I keep getting confused, and confusing others, by forgetting that "MB" is
the US abbreviation for "Mercedes Benz". Over here there's no such company -
on the Continent they're known as "Daimler Benz" and in the UK as "Mercedes".)
