I've got a similar book in French, called 'Les roues du temps' (the wheels
of time) which the Dutch Audi Club *gave* me when I went to one of their
meetings earlier this year. It's a beautiful book, which is nearly up to
date, dating from, I think, 1993. (It's been in my car for 3 months, but I
took it out yesterday, so I can't check) A good reason for me to polish up
on my French, so I read it from cover to cover. Another thing I got at the
same time is a wonderful brochure/book about the production process at
Audi. It's apparently the paper version of a video which can be obtained
from Audi AG. Gripping stuff!

My book has a nice overview of racing and rallying successes, and much info
about the early years and the Horch/DKW/NSU/Auto Union connection. The Audi
Club gave them away by the armful, and it took them only an hour to run
out... a great present! Anyone who wants to know more about this book, drop
me a line and I'll get the ISBN and other info.
BTW Info in book-shape about Audi seems hard to come by. Apart from the
expensive out-of-print book about the UrQ and aforementioned book by Audi
AG, not a lot has been published... Brooklands did a couple of test reprint
books some years ago, and I've managed to find two Dutch language books
that deal with Audis in general. Publishers take note: there should be more
people around that are interested in Audi's general history, their sporting
successes, and the road cars. Hard to do, as it's out of date the moment
it's published, but still...
Bye,

I think animal testing is a terrible idea;
they get all nervous and give the wrong answers.
