car and gmat
The car is now in the garage. Yes, after being in one place since
early July, my baby got up and moved itself into the garage.
Well, sorta. I pushed it with the Jetta :)
I'm waiting for one of my mechanics to come by after work this
week and get it all squared away since I'm now afraid to touch the
car for fear of breaking something else! The brake caliper looks OK
though and I bled the brakes, so it seems we're all set there.
Next steps are to replace the timing belt, water pump and seal (might
as well) and cam seal, then set the timing and drive.
I though you might like to know that my GMAT went pretty well.
Some of the questions that appeared went like this:
(verbal)
Pick the correct sentence.
1. Dan's 4000q is the __________________________
a) worst car he has ever owned.
b) worstest car he has ever owned.
c) most bad car he has ever own.
d) antichrist.
2. "Honey, the car will be ready _______________"
a) tomorrow
b) next week
c) next month
d) um...gulp.
(math)
1. Dan bought his car for $1700. He has since spent another $2000
repairing his car. Given an interest rate of 4% compounded annually,
calculate the amount of money Dan would have to add to this amount in
order to purchase a new A4q, assuming that he had been smart enough
to leave the money in the bank instead of buying the piece of crap.
2. f(x)=(x-1234)/(32642y^2)
Solve for y. We don't know why he bought it either.
Just kidding. I'm patiently waiting until it's all ready.
A full detail, throw on my ski racks, and bring on the snow.
I promise not to drive over any parking lot dividers this year.
