5K, 100/200 Ignition Problems

Hey Listers.... 
Was there a recall on 100-200 ignition switches? I would guess it is the
same unit thats in my 88 5K. 
I have had problems with the switch not returning from the
starter-engage position. Today, a guy told me I had no brake lights. I
immediately switched the key to the normal run position. Would the
position of the key keep my lights from working? I had all climate
control, radio and window functions. 

Any thoughts? Thanks
