Seat heater relay madness (was 9020V)
Hi,
A loose or broken solder joint in the seat heater switch can cause the seat
heater relay to go nuts and click rapidly. The bad solder joint causes inter-
mittent contact - like you are rapidly turning the heated seat on and off.
Does the relay click when you adjust the seat heater switch? For example,
turning the seat from 6 to 1 sould not cause the relay to click at all.
Sometimes just touching the switch causes the relay to click.
Replaced mine with a junkyard part out of an '87 4ksq. $5 and it works
great. Illuminates better too.
Later,
