Re: On-car balancing sucks!
I just bought a set of D60A2s a few weeks ago from Wheel Techniques, paid
extra for a super-high tech balance with a lifetime warranty. Took them
back in a couple weeks because they were way out of balance. Took them
back the next day, worse, and told the guy at the counter that they had one
more try, and then we started talking about new tires.
This time, they set the machine to its fine-time mode (F1?) and put their
best guy on it. It took a while, but he balanced all wheels to a total of
no more than 0.01 (units?) adding both side measurements together. Now
they're fine, and I suspect better than the previous D60A2s ever were.
Next time, I'll know what to ask for.
