List Rules? (no Audi content)

First let me say that I won't tell Dan how to run this list, and I'm glad
he's willing to run it.  I, like everyone else, benefit tremendously from it
and we probably don't thank Dan often enough for keeping the list alive.

That said, it has been my experience (with the bigger and more heavily
trafficed Miata list) that the list members will enforce, through the
electronic mail equivalent of peer pressure, their own collective sense of
what's right.  We've seen that effect in action in the past, and it will
persist as long as we all enjoy this list and want to keep it that way.

I consider a club selling jackets to be different than an aftermarket
supplier or tuner selling goods or services.  The primary difference is that
the club is generally non-profit, and if they somehow make money selling
jackets they will probably roll that money back into events for quattro
enthousiasts.

Lastly, Dan, if you really want to restrict the topics posted to the list it
is incumbent upon you to say so in clear and concise language up front,
rather than choosing particular topics/people to censor on the fly.
