ATTN: Northeast US Q Listers

Hi Folks,

 After all the uproar about "What does?" and "What does not?" belong on   
the list, I thought it might be a good idea to get a ready list of folks   
in the northeast US who would be interested in things that are of   
particular geographical interest...such as "Kanc runs," picnics, and   
other general nonsense.
 I was thinking that I would just compile a list of people from New York,   
New England, Quebec, New Brunswick, and anybody else that considers   
themselves northeast mobile.
 When someone has an idea for a northeast event or point of interest,   
they could just write one letter to the general list to let newbies or   
travelers know and then use the northeast list to carry out plans and   
diseminate information.  I found that getting everybody's addresses   
straight for the Kanc run was pretty time consuming.
 Here's what I'll do....
 I've got a fair list of folks already from the Kanc run which I am   
publishing here.  If you're NOT on the list, then please forward your   
name and e-mail address to me and I'll add it. If you ARE on the list and   
would prefer to be kept off, mail me and I'll remove you.
  Then, whenever somebody wants to use the NElist, just mail me and I'll   
pass it on. I would suggest that the NElist not be abused...that is, the   
NElist should only be used in the case of a genuine northeast event or   
point of geographical interest.  This will save the folks in Europe, St.   
Louis, and Los Angeles from our mail and organizational nightmares.  Any   
arguments, complaints, concerns, bad idea?, good idea?, send it along.
