help with loose front struts on 1990 Coupe Q

Listers:

I need a little help. I spent most of Saturday (MOST) replacing
the stock struts with koni adjustables on my CQ. The most
time consuming part was replacing the front a arm bushings.

I'll detail a procedure for the CQ in the near future...

My current problem is that I don't have the funky VAG 3078 22 mm
socket to tighten the strut bolts. My right front shock is clunking,
and I want to properly torque it.

My options are:

o buy an offset 22mm box wrench, and use a 10 mm open ended wrench to
prevent the strut from rotating.

o buy a deep 22mm socket and grind out a window.

o buy the 3078 from Zelenda

o borrow a tool.

The method advocated by the local Audi shop is NOT an option. They
recommended using an air wrench...PDQSHIP already told us in his
excellent one lap story what can happen when this is done...

Please e-mail me offline with suggestions.

thanks!
