Upgrade V8Q Headlights

I just looked at the bulbs in my '90 V8Q.  The low beam is labeled a DOT
9006 and a 9004s clearly will not fit.  Does anyone know if higher wattage
9006 bulbs are available?  Does anyone know if turning on the low beams when
high beams are on will overheat the headlight assembly?  Without taking my
fog lights apart, does anyone know what kind of bulbs are used in the front
fog lights?  Has anyone tried "Stongard" on their headlights and if so, how
does it affect the brightness?

BTW, I wonder if the cool looking headlight assemblies on the A8 (I think
they are Xenon's) will fit a V8Q.  However, I shudder to think of what Audi
would want for them.  Maybe I should forget about the Stongard and find a
dump truck leaking gravel to drive behind. :-)
