tires for CQ? (and update on shocks replacement)
Just finished the replacement of all shocks and strut mounts with Boge
Turbo Gas. I have to say the car feels like brand new again, and thanks
to all who suggested the Turbo Gas. I hope they last more than a year
or two... they are definitely soft, and only for street driving ("soft" means
softer than Koni ;-), but definitely better than the stock ones.
On to tires now... I have Pirelli P4000 on and have gotten only 22K miles
out of them! I doubt I'll be able to get more than 25K to 28K. Is this
typical, or are the tires too soft? What are people's favorite tires for
the CQ? I am very familiar with Good Year NCT and NCT2 which I really adore,
but I am not sure if they make 'em in the CQ's dimensions. How about other
Goodyear or PIrelli tires (anyone using P6000?). I have excluded Michelin,
(too soft) unless you can identify a hard tire...
thanks
