Thanks for the warning, Ian, but here in "Live Free or Die" New Hampshire a
vehicle over ten years old *has no title* anyway!  I never was issued one 
(bought when 11 years old).  The registration and "possession" are the only
paperwork here.  Of course this is a state in which an "oral contract" is
enforceable in court.  I will share what I learn about this experience of
course.
