Greetings from the Great White North (well, not yet, but soon)

Any one have any experience with swapping in a 5 speed for an automatic. I
love my "84 5kS but it's high on revs on the highway and a lot less fun to
drive with out a little three pedal dance. Just got the motor debugged (cam
off 3 teeth, among other things) car has been rescued to a proper owner.
Ahem. Local shop says they have a donor car and will do the job for about
$800. Sounds good to me, but what else will need to be changed? Isn't the
exhaust different too? 

Any insights appreciated 
BTW I'm on digest version, if that matters (?)
