radiator leak

 . From what I have 
heard, they are not good to use, from what I have read, they are 
fantastic.  What do y'all think?

They work by solidifying in the coolant and the idea being that they
will be forced out of the hole in the rad, thus blocking the leak BUT
they also go around the head and may block up some of the cooling
channels. Take the rad out and get it repaired / replaced if the leaks
is bad / getting worse or ignore it !
