I'm in the right lane at a stoplight with parked cars about half a
block down. Usually I can get into the boost and fly past the left
lane traffic when the light turns green with plenty of margin for
safety. Twice now, though, I've gotten through two gears and still not
been far enough ahead to pull in.
At speed there's no contest. The low end is were the turbo engine can
have a problem against a normally aspirated one.
And as to "You sure you got a good chip", I don't know how to answer
that question. I guess the way to know for sure is to find a four
wheel dynamometer in the Chicago area and pay the freight to have it
rigorously tested, which I might just do if I can find one.
