Well, as I mentioned, my 82 Coupe with 215,000 miles on it was deemed to be
totalled by the adjuster.  Book value, $1475 (realistic), salvage value $350
.00.  Now my deductible is $250 but they are supposedly sending me 1075.00 
you do the math.  Phil? 1+1=2.27?

Soooo I have brought Paul R's 87 5ks auto here with a mind to using that 2.3
130 hp engine or a sister engine from FART if young.  Then I'll have all the
fuel and ignition controls from his car to make the new engine work properly
in my coupe.  And a few toys from that car to move over, I'm sure.  the rest
will be outstanding in its field while I sell the bits from it.

You guys (& gals) who have rebrained cars before, please tell me how hard
it's going to be to get that harness through the firewall?  From the looks
I'll have a pretty weird hybrid for a while.  

Will the 2.3 run with my 2144 electronics at a diminished capacity until I
get everything moved over?  I will let you know!  I am psyched to think of
130 hp in the coupe.  It could use it.  That engine also has an oil cooler -
I hope my H2O system is enough.  I have removed my AC so that will help I
guess.

BTW, my old engine will not turn.  with a ten foot pipe on a breaker bar all
I get is socket extension twist.  that's with the plugs out and the starter
off.
