Soliciting comments on a 91 Coupe Quattro
Hi all, I've just signed onto the group because I'm looking into
purchasing a '91 Coupe Quattro and would like to know a bit more about
them. With the canadian winter coming, I figure that 4wd will be more
than welcome.
The one I'm looking at is low milage (60k kilometers) and is pretty much
spotless. Also, they (the dealer) are offering a 2 year warrantee. Is
$22k canadian too much for a car like this? I've seen 90 Sport quattro's
in the same year and similar condition for around $14k - $15k - what
makes the coupe so much more expensive?
Also, when did Audi drop the coupe and why? (I suspect lower sales than
the 90/100/200's)
Are there any mechanical or other issues to worry about in that
model/year?
Were there significant changes made after 1991?
I'd really be interested in seeing what the specs/dealer literature on
the car had to say about it. Sadly, this long after production, that info
is a bit hard to come by...
Sorry for all the questions, but it looks like a seriously nice car, if a
bit pricey for its age.
Any comments or suggestions would be very welcome.
Thanks much in advance
Ian Robertson (hopefully soon to be a quattro owner)
