Funny you mentioned -- sometime ago Consumer Retort actually SERIOUSLY
tested the higher octaned gas to see if "Higher octaned gas give more
performance?" Of course, they concluded that it does not.  To give them
credit, they did say some cars are recommended to use high octane gas --
but they made it sound like "well, we think they do -- but we're not
really sure if they REALLY do need 'em."
