Need help - stalling '90 90q20v

The stalling problem still persists.
Idle oscillate between 500 to 1200 at times.
It does not stall as much but certainly it is not right.

Question, this problem only started 4 days ago right after I changed 
the fuel filter.  Is it just a coincident or, has the fuel filter, or 
the installation of it has anything to do with the idle problem that 
I am experiencing ?

Any clue ?
