A4 K&N part number

Well, the part number I have for the K&N that I put in my 2.8 V-6 for my '92
100s is 33-2029.

I would take a good gamble that this is the same one for the A4.

In fact, the label on the box states that it is for the 1988-92 VW Golf/GTI
with the L4 - 1.8L 8 valve only. Perhaps K&N now makes/labels one
specifically for the Audi V-6, but I bought this one in June of last year,
and they still had not labelled it Audi-specific. It fits and works fine in
my V-6.

BTW, have you tried contacting K&N directly? I think they have an 800 now
that one can call (sorry...don't have it handy... it's in most car mags
nowadays anyway).
