Hella XL's
Jim Griffin asked about Hella XL's:
They are very good _auxiliary low beams_. They are not good fogs (too bright,
poor _fog_ beam pattern). They have a good low beam-ish pattern, and generate
significant light output. As a reference I could see as far with the XL's as I
could with my stock hi beams.
Drawbacks: People don't seem to care if they are actually being blinded or not.
The logic is sort of: "Well, he's got all these lights turned on, so I'll flash
him". They are DOT legal and come with a DOT exemption letter. They also are a
little difficult to integrate into the front end (better when they are above the
bumper).
