Keith Anderson - a second opinion

Hi folks,

Here's a quick rundown of my experiences with Keith Anderson:

I ordered a set of Fuch's alloys from him. He had them in stock and said he'd
send them right out. They took about a month to get to me. Oh well, he's busy
and whatwith shipping and all, I guess it's understandable.

I orderd a temp sender from him - the one that turn on the "cold engine"light
on the ur-q dash. He said no problem and he'd send it right out. He sent me
the wrong one. I informed him of the mistake. He said he'dstraighten it out.
A month went by. I called him again. After a few minutes of him racking his
brain as to who I was and what I wanted, he said he'd get me the part. Another
month goes by. I call him again. This time he tells me that the sender is
NLA and he can't get me one.

I ordered a rear "parcel shelf" from him. This is the fiberboad piece that
holds the rear speakers. He says he's got a few in stock from ur-quattros
that he's parting out. So he'll send it right out. A month or so goes by.
No deck. I call. He says he'll send it right out. Another monthgoes by. No
deck. I call. He claims he can't find a box big enough for it. Another 
month goes by. At this point I just gave up. I never got it and hope I
never do.

I'm not going to offer a subjective assessment of his overall ur-q knowledge,
but I was not impressed.

Basically, I'll never "bother" Mr. Anderson with my little problems again. 
There's nothing he has that I can't get somewhere else.

Conversely, I've had nothing but excellent service from TAP. They are very
attentive, polite, and ship stuff pronto. They have a nice web page within
Darin's huge, excellent page. And they have great stuff. Before everybody
gets all excited about ordering stress bars from Demon Tweeks, they should
check out the TAP page. Got a lot of nice stuff. I'm going to be doing a lot
of business with them in the future.
