Someone had sent in the part number off of their old box as
-----Begin Included Message -----
The replacement was made by FAG and had a few more numbers on it (at
least the box had more numbers):
6006.2RSR.T.C3
---- End of forwarded message ----
I have called a friend at Eastern Bearings in Manchester, NH. This is a:
6006 ==> 30 mm bore, 55 mm o.d., 13 mm wide
2rsr ==> both sides rubber sealed
T ==> polyamide cage (spaces the balls internally, Bob D', don't go
there! ;-)
C3 ==> electric-motor-class internal clearances
radial ball bearing.
They have no FAGs in stock (but they're on order), but will sell the
in-stock Torrington 9106PP for the same $16.30, or the Czech-made cheapo
60062RS for $8. It didn't seem to have any rubber on the outside. Does
anyone know if the _bearing_ is pressed into the _rubber_, or is the rubber
bonded to the bearing like a control-arm bushing? If so, this won't seem to
work . . .
