     I'm not familiar with Audi VIN decoding - but I can say that Porsche 
     puts "zzz" in the VIN for a European market car. I'd guess that Audi 
     did the same. 
     
     I do actually own an Audi too - and I couldn't resolve the VIN decoder 
      my 4000 Quattro would appear to have been built with a 5000 turbo 
     engine (If it was - where is that engine now??) , but I thought I 
     could shed some light on the "zzz" issue.
