fog light question

Here's one for our Euro friends... On the older model 4000q
(The 80 to you) was there a provision for an integrated rear
fog light?  Many cars come over with this feature disabled
(ie my GLI) but it should be simple to install the correct 
socket and bulb and run a wire to the dash.

For the front...

What is everyone using for fog lights?  I know Hella 550s
are pretty good, but they are about $80.  PIAAs are out
of the question.  Has anyone tried (don't laugh) the lights
that Walmart sells for about $20? :)
